Bernito

Bernito is a rescue dog who was found wandering the mean streets of Oakland.  He is a cross between a pit bull and a chihuahua, and we all should certainly hope the chihuahua was the father.  Bernito loves going on walks, chasing squirrels, geese and pigeons, going through the hamburger window for his own cheeseburger, sliding down the slide and sleeping all day on the couch.  He is a surprisingly calm and mellow little dog, but his pit bull side gives him huevos grandes and he readily assumes the role of La Chota when there is mishap or violence about. 

Murphy

My name is Murphy.  I spend most of my day on guard protecting my family from the pesky critters.  I dislike crows, squirrels and the black cat across the street.  I live for going to the park and getting off my leash.  I shake a mean slammer toy and know how to do the moon walk.   

Madeline "Maddie"

This is Maddie.  Her hobbies are sleeping in and jerky treat rewards.  She spends most her day looking for a soft pillow or cat to cuddle with.  She hates camping and dislikes it when it rains.  She is definitely the boss of the family.

Silly

Silly put up with the chihuahuas for a couple of years, but when we moved, she opted to stay with the new owners of her house...from time to time, I go by and say hello...

Zooey 1991-2003

My name is Zooey.  I am the Queen of the household despite what Madeline may think.  I start my mornings in the living room on the couch and slowly make my way to the bedroom for a nice afternoon nap.  I also have a wonderful space to myself in the basement.  I helped raise those so-called  Dogs.  Murphy loves to give my back massages.....

Benny was my first Chihuahua.  He was amazing!! Benny was the most intelligent dog I have ever known.  He loved his stuffed elephant named Elefante'.
