Like James, Kathy started playing the double bass at a very young age. Kathy passed away in a car accident in the Spring of 1997, at the age of 23, having nearly completed her master's degree in double bass performance. She was a phenomenal musician and a great friend. Her passing left a huge hole in our lives and she is dearly missed. The 1940's Juzek bass featured in most of this website was inherited by James from his sister and she is very much a part of the music that sings through it. |
